Be aware of symptoms: Maybe don't worry, but definitely be aware that stimulants can effect the heart and should not be taken by patients with a history of high blood pressure or heart problems. When you exercise, if you experience chest pain, headache, difficulty breathing or any other abnormality, then stop the activity and report this to your doctor as the medication may need to be discontinued.

Focalin: Focalin is a stimulant and can raise heart rate and blood pressure. If you're going to indulge in very vigorous exercise, I recommend that you have a treadmill stress test where your heart and blood pressure will be monitored under gradually increasing exertion to see whether there is an exaggerated response. If you're going to exercise moderately and have no history of cardiovascular disease,ok

A little: 1. Officially, there is a little bit of worry about your heart in that it may be over-stimulated with the exercise-related increased rate on top of the stimulant effect. 2. Unofficially, it should be no big deal. 3. Why would you take Focalin before exercise? You don't need extra focus to lift weights! Why waste the med? Exercise is already stimulating enough. Take Focalin afterwards.
