Call your doc: If the medication makes you worse, it may be a side effect from that particular PPI or your problem is not from acid at all. (bile reflux ?). Have you consulted a GI doctor?

EGD.: If you've been taking PPI for eight weeks and your symptoms have worsened, then you need some testing - EGD and abdominal ultrasound to start, given the symptoms you mentioned.
