I feel solid food going down my esophagus & feels slow moving after swallowing. trying soft food diet & can feel mashed potatoes going down. drinking helps. dx gerd in '03. tried and failed many ppis. currently dexilant 60mg qd at pm. stricture?

Not likely stricture at your age. I would elevate head of bed 8 inches by getting blocks from Bed Bath and Beyond. Gravity never sleeps and this may help with reflux at night. Put under legs of head of bed.

Gave up diet soda and have IBS and Gerd. Am On 60 mg dexilant (dexlansoprazole) . Can I get heartburn from drinking iced tea? And I take my pill at night .
