Burp: People who burp frequently are only swallowing more air leading to gas build-up within the gastrointestinal tract. Take simethicone 1/2 hour after meals to prevent gas build-up. Avoid drinking a lot of fluid while eating. Avoid gassy foods and beverages. Drinking hot water helps break down gas bubbles enabling them to be passed down the gi tract and out the rectum. This is the way to unload gas.
