A member asked:

I normally have normal blood pressure readings at rest, but struggle with anxiety. sometimes i even have panic attacks that last over an hour. can regular blood pressure spikes from anxiety cause brain aneurysms to form?

No: UNCONTROLLED SUSTAINED high blood pressure is the "killer" and only PROLONGED UNCONTROLLED high blood pressure has been implicated in aneurysm development. (Not to "worry" you but most cereebral aneurysms are CONGENITAL (you are born with them) and are aymptomatic in the vast majority of folks who have these rare "bubbles"!) Hope this is helpful Dr Z
