Ask Dr - Too young!: Such a young baby in distress needs attention from a neonatal pediatrician. Do not try to solve it yourself. Babies are delicate and easily harmed by things that would not hurt an older child.

GERD: Can be increase by simethicone. Sometimes reflux can seem like gas. If he is not passing a lot of gas your pediatrician may want to treat him for reflux with medicine. If he has a lot of gas you may want to try a lactose free formula and thicken it with rice cereal to mimic the similar spit up.
