Yes: You can mix the two together, but it may dilute the benefits of both. The "sensitive" is lactose free whereas the ar is not. Similarily, by adding the sensitive to the ar, it dilutes out the rice starch that helps prevent the reflux, so may spit up. An alternative is to use the "sensitive" and add rice cereal to the formula. Call your pediatrician for instructions on how to do this.

Wouldn't recommend: I wouldn't recommend this. The sim sensitive is lactose-free to help with digestion problems. The enfamil ar is a lactose based milk with rice solids to help reduce reflux. Mixing will cancel the effects of each. Use the lactose-free , feed small frequent feedings, burp frequently and keep your baby upright for 15 min after feedings. If reflux is still a problem, your doc may rx zantac (ranitidine).
