My pinky toe on right foot hurts in shoes. feels fine barefoot or in sandals. no bumps or red. on inside by nail but not ingrown. shoes not tight.

If you really think about it, all nails are technically ingrown, they are just not symptomatic. There could be an underlying reason for the pain if not caused directly by the shoes. To remove all doubt, an exam including an x-ray may bring into view the real problem.
