Why Worry.: It certainly sounds like it is. Not to worry. The shoe has put some stress on the soft tissues of the foot. The tissues have responded accordingly and now need time to repair. Rest the foot as much as possible, try not to put too much shoe pressure on the sore spot. Applying some ice to the area may help as well as taking some NSAIDS. If things don't improve in a couple of days, see a doctor.
