A member asked:

General checkup blood tests came back , all normal except for amylase 125, it should be maximum 100. no symptoms . what can it indicate?

You're fine: Reference ranges are set so that a few percent of healthies fall ouside on either side. Amylase is a special case, with one percent of healthy folks having "macroamylasemia", always running high because of a slightly variant molecule. To be worrisome, amylase needs to be 3x the upper limit of normal and you need be obviously sick. Best wishes.
