Neuralgia: These fleeting, Sharp, shooting or stabbing head pains are characteristic of neuralgia which is more of a nuisance irritability or slight inflammation of a superficial scalp nerve. It doesn't involve the brain and usually resolves in a few days. If symptoms persist or worsen, see your physician or a neurologist for evaluation and advice.
