At times about 10 mins after i eat i get electric zaps in both sides of my jaw at the same time. sometimes one side, but mostly both. it lasts from a few mins to 15.occasionally happens when i don't eat, but 8 out of 10 times when i do. i do have tmj?

Since you have TMJ, are you being treated for it? If and when you move your jaw, and have amalgam fillings or any metal in your mouth, one can get a galvanic shock when you touch your teeth with a fork or spoon. See your dentist or a TMJ specialist for further exam and or treatment.

Does it happen after eating acidic or astringent foods? if so, Parotid Glands may be involved. You may get answers of yo seek consultation with specialists, in particular Oral Pathologist and/or Otolaryngologist
