A member asked:

Had a ct scan and have a 6mm nodule on the lung radiologist said no follow up if not a smoker should i be worried about cancer i'm not a smoker?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See below: Worrying is not a useful option. About 10% of the lung cancers in occur in non-smokers. It would be prudent to consult your primary care provider, who would know more about your health, for the advisability of a PET scan, MRI, other action or watchful waiting. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex, if you have sex.
