Had ct found a 5.6 non calcified lung nodule they were not concerned about follow up ct are radiologists fairly accurate at determining if its cancer?

If the nodule: is smooth and completely calcified, there is essentially no chance it is malignant. So under these circumstances, the answer is yes, to a high degree of certainty. Non calcified nodules or incompletely calcified nodules, however, cannot usually be reliably categorized as benign.
