This nodule should be followed by serial CT scans. A pulmonologist as well as the radiologist can determine how often the CT scans should be done. Any nodule that stays the same size for a period of 2 years is by definition benign. A 2mm nodule is too small to biopsy but, if it begins to get significantly bigger then it can be removed. You should not smoke and, if you do smoke, quitting is crucial
