A member asked:

Just had ct scan found 6mm lung nodule doctor and radiologist not concerned about follow up scan what should i do? just looking for second opinion

A doctor has provided 1 answer

You have a choice: Lung nodules are considered benign if they contain calcium. So check if yours are calcified or not? If they are not calcified then a follow up CT scan may be justified provided you are a smoker. A second opinion may be useful if you are anxious about your present situation. Otherwise go see your doctor in 6 months. A chest X-ray may be another alternative to check the lung nodule for any fur growt
