Several possibilties: A new nodule at the site of your previous surgery could be scar tissue or regrowth of the original tumor if it was not completely removed. A nodule at a different location could be unrelated to the original tumor, or it could be recurrence or metastasis from the original tumor. Either way, it is important to get a full evaluation.
