Not necessarily: A baby should be taken to the doctor when she/he has a high fever not coming down with tylenol or ibuprofen, a bad cough lasting several days, lack of appetite, lack of wet diapers, severe fatigue, or any other concerning symptoms. If baby simply has runny nose, mild cough, and otherwise is playing, happy and eating, no need to take her/him in to see doctor.
