Is there a recommended cough and cold medicine for a 6 week old infant? dosage? my son does not have a medical card yet and i have no money to pay for a prescription from a doctor

There : There are no cough and cold medicines recommended for a child of your son's age. The best treatment is to use a blue bulb syringe to suction out his nose , especially before feeding. Please make sure he gets supplemental water and does not dehydrate.

Dont use meds: Steam up your bathroom and sit in the steam.Use saline nose drops every 4-6 hours.If the cough gets worse with poor feeding take the baby to the emergency room.Do not smoke around the baby.
