Submandibular gland: We would need more information to give a complete diagnosis. Feel free to use the consult request if you wish to get more information. With that said, a few other common causes of pain and bumps in that area includes swelling of the submandibular gland's, rannula, and thyroglossal duct cysts. These can be intermittent, and chronic or acute in nature.
