A member asked:

I have been diagnosed with a syrinx. left neck, clavicle pain and numbness of my fingers. the most recent mri shows a syrinx from c6-t1 and my previous mri a year ago shows a syrinx at c6. i have been told it is too small to cause the pain. thoughts?

Neurosurgeon: This is a question best answered by a neurosurgeon. Collaboration between the radiologist and a neurosurgeon who has examined you would be ideal. I do know that in cases of a small syrinx a conservative approach is usually best.
