?fractured rib: It sounds like you may have fractured a rib and perhaps as it healed it scared down and the scar impinges on a costal (rib) nerve. Not sure what the alcohol does, but maybe it relaxes you and allows the rib fracture region to move downward and make the impingement. Other possibilities. You need an MRI of the area in question to be sure.

RUQ pain: Have your tests included an ultrasound and or ct scan to thoroughly evaluate the right upper quadrant of the abdomen? I would be interested in checking for gall stones, rib cage abnormalities, although sludge in the gall bladder or certain gall stones may not be visualized. If symptoms persist consultation with a gastroenterologist or abdominal surgeon would be worthwhile.
