If you haven't : taken Melatonin before - consider starting with 1 mg dose. Sublingual is often more effective than other forms of melatonin.

Does help: In general, melatonin can help with sleep. It's best to take the medication an hour or so before you wish to retire. Since it seems as if you have not taken melatonin before, so using this high of a dose would not be prudent. It is unclear which formulation you are using, so look on the instructions on the bottle for a better starting dose.
