Possibly yes: Some types of bacterial meningitis (for example, pneumococcal) sometimes cause heart valve infection (endocarditis) at the same time. This could lead to aortic regurgitation. Others (e.g. meningococcal) are unlikely to do so. Probably he is under the care of a cardiologist; s/he should be able to answer this. Good luck!
