Bacterial Meningitis: It is possible for residual neurological effects to occur by post- infectious syndromes or local inflammatory reactions. There is no specific post infectious psychiatric symptom. Years after the infection , an additional stressor may bring to the surface a sub clinical condition that was a residual vulnerability from the meningitis.
