AR: Was it bacterial ?Aortic regurgitation may be caused by rheumatic heart disease, congenital, aortic root dilatation or calcific valve disease.

No: Totally unrelated issue.The spaces involved in the infection are widely different. Meningitis generally starts when the germ enters the blood through the nasal passages and travels into the blood supply of the brain & its coverings.The infection is occasionally found in the venous blood but is not known to attack the aortic valve.
