Crutch will help you: Although sprains are not life threatening, but they can be quite annoying, and also require immobilization. By using crutch you will be able to give your ankle chance to heal better. So it is better for you to utilize it as necessary help.

Why not.: Although it's not imperative for treating a sprain, in many circumstances they are appropriate. Lesser sprains could be treated with a wrap and more severe sprains might require a walking boot. Crutches could be used to supplement the treatment of both.

Maybe: If you are having trouble putting weight on the ankle or difficulty walking or excess pain then crutches will be helpful.
