Ribbon like: stool which is INTERMITTENT are DUE TO SPASM of the lower bowel (old term ="spastic colon") now this is a part of the diagnosis of IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) which is a DIAGNOSIS of EXCLUSION (other GI problems MUST BE RULED OUT) SO STOP worrying about the "big C" and get yourself checked out by your PCP and at your age a COLONOSCOPY ,may be recommended!
