Rash from tick bite: Tick mouth parts can remain in skin after tick removal and cause a small red bump at the site. If you have the tick, your dr. Can send it to the lab to determine type of tick. A preventative dose of antibiotics is usually given for a tick bite. I also recommend testing for lyme disease now and in 6 weeks to see if there are antibodies to lyme. Skin bump may need to be excised.
