Podiatrist.: I'm not sure of the specific nature of the deformity in your toes, the specialty of the doctor you mentioned, or what surgery you were discussing. But if a surgeon has advised against surgery, you can either (1) get a second opinion, (2) ask a podiatrist (foot doctor) for treatment, (3) get a custom orthotic to help alleviate the pain in your feet, or (4) all of the above.
