A member asked:

I'm retaining water in my ankles an i have surgery next week will my doctor still do my surgery?

Depends: What type of surgery you are having, is it ankle surgery or somewhere else. If the ankle swelling is new and significant this can indicate problems that may need checked out before surgery, depends on if you have any health history. As long as the swelling is minor and goes away with elevation and you don't have any open sores or blisters you should be ok for your procedure.
