Someone i know in his 40s died suddenly & unexpectedly of a heart attack. i'm scared. are these incidences really rare in healthy people?

These incidents are: very rare in "healthy" individuals. Unfortunately you need a good definition of healthy. EKG normal, heart pumping function normal, non smoker, exercise. etc. Discuss with your health care provider since he/she knows your health history and risk factors.
