I am not aware of: iodine supplements causing immediate psychiatric side effects altho it can cause other side effects like a bitter taste in the mouth. Perhaps this was a coincidence. Since we don't know why you're feeling anxious, it's not possible to tell you when you'll feel like yourself again.

Check thyroid : I'm not licenced in the us US do for specific personal medical advice you will need to consult a doctor licensed in your area. In general I have encountered this problem in my own practice in NZ before and sometimes the prolonged anxiety is because the iodine has affected the thyroid. A doctor can arrange a blood test to check your thyroid or determine whether the anxiety has a different cause.

Iodine: does not cause anxiety! If you were placed on iodine supplementation you may have thyroid issues or your anxiety may be part of a generalized anxiety disorder.
