Post workout meal: Some say that eating late is not good for the metabolism, however, after you workout, your metabolism is a bit higher for a few hours, and you do need to refuel your body after working out. Eat a light dinner and you should be fine! Great that you are working out!

Exercise and weight: The issue on weight gain/loss is defined by this equation: Weight = calories eaten- calories burned. Very simple in concept difficult in execution.
