NO: Night food is not different at night or daytime .The problem is how much you eat. If you eat the right amount at a regular meal time and then snack with regular food but at late night you will gain weight. Eat a balanced diet that is calorie controlled mixed with exercise. You will then either lose weight or maintain. Best wishes.

Food consumption: The food you eat is used for tissue repair and metabolic processes of life. Calories eaten are either used within the hour of eating OR stored as glycogen and fat for later use; if you eat lots of calories at night and do not burn them within the hour, then you store them as fat and glycogen; if you eat less, and USE what you just ate, then you won't store as fat; eat less-save some for next day
