My 52lb son dosage of 10mls 2x/day of amoxicillin (400/5ml) for strep and he's finished the course. now throwing up. no fever. is the 1600mg/day right?

Yes: He might get by with less for strep but that is not unusual dosing for amoxicillin for something like sinus or ear infection & certainly would not be responsible for throwing up at the end of treatment.Another issue is likely.
