What were you doing?: The RESTING blood pressure should be ~110 to 120 mmHg (top number) / ~65-75 mmHg (bottom). If you were exercising or had just come in from outside, your BP will be higher - that is not abnormal, that is natural MEASUREMENT ERROR. The TRUE RESTING BP has to be taken 5 minutes after quiet rest - sitting or laying flat - without any mental stress or other pressing worries. Recheck BP & go from there
