How and why does high blood pressure meds may cause erectile dysfunction? i thought the meds helped blood flow?

Lowers pressure: Blood pressure medications lower blood pressure. Erection is achieved when fluid moved from the blood vessels into the spongy tissue of the penis. When the pressure is lowered, not as much fluid can move into the tissue and achieving an erection becomes more difficult.
