Hard to comment: To get the most from this site,you provide background information & ask a clear,related question. You provided some background, but asked no question.The illness at 4 mo has nothing to do with his problem today.If he was tested for strep, which would be the only reason for antibiotics,fever can persist for a day or 2 on meds.If never tested, this may be viral and take its time to resolve.
