Check for strep.: Strep throat only presents classically in about 30% of adults and about 60% of kids. Even though your throat does not hurt much, since you have a change in appearance of the throat, get checked to be sure you don't have strep. Treatment of strep infections is very important to prevent possible long-term complications, like rheumatic fever, even though that is rarer the older you get.
