Pharyngitis: Infection of the throat. It could be caused by bacteria or virus If simple pain relief and rest do not help her to get better in few days, she might need to see the doctor for review.

Tonsillitis: Her symptoms could be due to Tonsillitis. This normally goes after a few days. Home remedies such as salt gargles can ease the symptoms until the infection goes. If she has ongoing fevers, it is a wise idea to see a doctor to rule out bacterial infection. She may need antibiotics as well.
