Need more info: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, AST of 78 is not too high. What was your ALT level and what were the values of other tests? If you drink alcohol, stop entirely for at least 3 months before repeating the test. Do not take Tylenol.
