Would have to see it: To answer this question, a doctor would have to see your tongue, and probably your ear. A canker sore looks like a perfectly round hole. A bite looks like a scrape. While it is common to feel like problems with your mouth cause pain in your ear, no one can tell you if your ear is OK without looking inside it. If it persists, you should see your doctor or go to an urgent care.

2 examinations: Suggest you see your Dentist to evaluate your tongue. See your Physician to evaluate your ear. May be same issue, or may be 2 separate issues occurring at same time. Depending on their findings they will advise observation, treatment, or specialist referrals.
