The next: step might be MRI sounds like you may be "passing" gallbladder stones...(intermittant Liver Function abnormalities) the limited US is not sufficient to eliminate this diagnosis... Hope this is helpful Dr Z

HIDA scan: Hi. If I saw you in person with those symptoms and findings I might consider ordering a special gallbladder function study called a HIDA scan. This would help discover if your gallbladder is not working well, and might be the cause of your symptoms.
