Gallbladder removed 3/6. before and after surgery alt/ast were high but otherwise normal in the past. my last test on 3/17 had my alt 205 & ast 137. alk phos and bilirubin normal. hepatitis negative. us & ct scan normal. elevation related to surgery?

Gallbladder surgery usually does not cause the liver test to become abnormal. You need an ultrasound to look at your common bile duct to be sure that there are no stones in it. You also need some liver evaluation to be sure that there is not an underlying liver problem. See your gastroenterologist. Do not ignore this. Good luck.
