Just noticed my husband has large tonsils compared 2 mine. he isn't sick or anything. maybe they're just naturally large? hx of strep as a kid.

Large tonsils: As long as he is healthy and the tonsils are not red or inflammed or have white spots (exudates) on them - I would NOT be too concerned. Tonsils serve as "filters" just like other lymph nodes in the body - to trap dead and dying white blood cells typically increased during infections - thats the swollen glands that we see during sore throats, and other infections. I would not be worried.
