Throat pain: Without more details, I can surmise that the ENT doctor is making sure there is nothing else going on. There is unexplainable throat pain, nothing could be seen on exam, so the MRI was ordered to look for something. Your husband is of the age where there would be more concern for a tumor or neoplasm.
