Left-side sore throat for > 1 yr. pain varies from gone to moderate. doesn't hurt to swallow. seen 3 ents & gi. nose / throat scoped 2x, upper gi scope & 2 mris 3 mos apart - no diagnosis. any ideas?

Tonsils?: Do you still have your tonsils? While they must have looked "normal" during scope i wonder if removal may help. Do certain foods exacerbate? Unilateral problem leads me to believe that it is a local problem as oppossed to a systemic problem. Nerve issue may be at play? Do pain meds alleviate the symptoms when they occur?
