A member asked:

How come my colonoscopy was clear but my biopsies showed that i have chron's disease?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Terminology: Colonoscopy being clear may have been meant to convey that there were no polyps or cancer. Microscopic examination of the tissue is far more sensitive than naked eye examination, which is all that is available to the person doing endoscopy. Wish you good health and a Happy New Year!
