Not Uncommon: It is not uncommon to have some sensitivity in teeth following removal of decay and restoration with a filling material. The duration and intensity of the sensitivity may vary with the amount of decay that was removed from the tooth, proximity to the nerve, and type of filling material(s) used. Your dentist who performed the procedure for you would be the best person to advise you.
